We're the Millers.

 

My boyfriend and I had a movie night out and we went to see 'We're the Millers' in 'avant premiere' at the kinepolis. I had pretty high expectations for this movie and I must say they fulfilled them all, the story is all about four people ( a drugdealer, a virgin, a stripper and a homeless girl) who become a family to smuggle a litttle bit of drugs from Mexico to the United States at least that is what they think, when they arrive at their destination in Mexico with their all american mobile home to pick up the small package of drugs it turns out that it's about a whole lot more than that, their mobile home is stuffed with two tons of drugs and they will have to try and cross the international border, another thing they don't know is that this drugs wasn't actually meant for them but for a powerfull drug lord from Mexico. Along the way they also meet this real all american family who will help the Millers without knowing about the drugs because one of them is a DEA agent , mix all of these circumstances together and you'll get a hilarious comedy with amazing actors!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

If you go and watch 'We're the Millers' in the cinema, you really have to stay seated until the end especially if you're a 'friends' fan because at the end they show all kinds of bloopers and the last blooper is all about friends, there's a hilarious part in the movie where the whole Miller family sings the song ' Chasing Waterfalls' but instead of that song there's another one coming out of the stereo to tease Jennifer Aniston!

Khaki.

 

My sister got this gorgeous jumpsuit in the H&M months ago but she never wears it so that's my time to step in and actually wear it. I love the khaki colour of the jumpsuit so I combined it with my khaki jacket which has really cool aztec details on top, my balenciaga bag, my missoni looking wedges and our favourite amarylis bracelets.

Little Miss Lucie.

 

 

Wauw, this is blogpost number 200 already, time's really moving fast!!

For this special blogpost I want to introduce you to the newest member of our family, Little Miss Lucie, remeber when I told you guys that when we went to brussels for the store we made a very exciting stop on our way home well that stop was all about Lucie! As you can probably see in the pictures, I have a new puppy called Lucie, she's a toy yorkshire and about 11 weeks old. Now Mathilde has a 'play buddy' and I just couldn't resist the cuteness. This little monster has won everyone over in a heartbeat, Welcome to the family, Lucie!

Stripes & The Golden Tiger.

 

 

 

I bought this sweater in march, it was an oversized sweater with long, baggy sleeves but after putting it in the dryer it became a short sweater with three quarter sleeves so next time I'll really need to read those little washing papers that are hanging inside the clothes but for now the sweater is perfect for a 'colder' summer's day.

I wore it with my cross printed jeans, my shiny green heels and a mini chanel bag as for the jewelry I chose a necklace with black shiny stones and a black, rosé watch.

A Little Bar.

 

 

As you could read in one of my previous posts I love to have my own bar cart at home but I can't find the perfect table to start with so I decided to make a little 'bar' on my coffee table. I took a vintage looking grey,silver tray (3) , two glass carafes (1), two glasses (2) and to have some colour a cool glass with some colourful straws (4).

 

I really like this vintage looking tray, it has so many little details and it also has that mirror effect.

 

The two glasses have a really cool 'print' engraved in the glass for that special look.

 

The two carefes with a really cool relief added to the tray.

 

 

 

I always need colour when I make little corners so I used these really fun straws to mix and match.

 

 

 

 

 

 

I really wanted the drinks in the carafes the be colourful so I chose pisang and strawberry daiquirie.

Pink Rainbow & Mint.

 

 

 

When I do my own nails I'm almost 100% sure that the next day those nails will not be perfect anymore and working in the store with all those boxes we have to unpack I don't feel like doing them everyday so since a few weeks I have gelish! It's almost the same as normal nailpolish but they put a gel texture on top of it so it stays perfect for two-three weeks so that's my kinda nailpolish!

The Smurfs II

 

 

There are so much new movies in the theater that I really want to see and on top of my list were the smurfs II so last tuesday I went to see it in 3D with my sister and little brother.

 

 

 For me personally the smurfs are a huge part of my youth, every wednesday my sister and I spent the afternoon at 'oma and parraine's place' which meant watching ketnet from 4o'clock and one of our favourite shows was ofcourse the smurfs. We always fought about who was smurfin,we also had all the little smurf figurines that we had to divide between us and that always led to another fight because we never agreed who was getting which figurine.

Getting older the smurfs disappeared out of our lives until our little brother and nephew started watching the smurfs so it started all over again.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 I loved the Smurfs I so I was a little scared that the second one was not going to be as great as the first one but those little blue ones did it again. It really was hilarious, this time the rescue team had two new members, ( we saw the movie in dutch so I'll use the dutch names) Hippe Smurf and Mopper Smurf had to safe Smurfin together with Grote Smurf and Klungel. I really liked that the family from the first movie came back to help them and that they added two new family members, their son Blue and the stepdad of Patrick. There are so much funny scenes during the movie that it's impossible to tell you all about them, there're also a lot of jokes that only the adults in the audience will understand like gargamel using an Ipad for the first time. It was also really fun that everything took place in Paris because you can recognize all the places and you know exatcly where they are.

 

 

 

Watching this movie made me proud knowing that all of this started in Belgium all these years ago.

 

 

Go and see the perfect Family Movie and be ready to get naughty!

Red Boots.

 

 

 

It's been pretty busy in our shop this weekend and it was a hectic start of the week because we went to Brussels to check out all the new jewelry slash decoration collections and on our way back we made a little stop that made everything even more exciting but that's still a surprise for a little while )! 

 When it's getting real busy in the store I like to wear something comfortable because we don't have a lot of stock space in the shop so we need to walk up and down the street a lot to get new items out of our stock so when I saw this new 'easy going' dress in the H&M I just had to have it. It's a simple cream dress with some lace embroided on it and I think I'll be able to mix and match it with a lot of items so it'll always look different and new. This time I wore it with my red boots, a Céline bag, some lace earrings and a Coral bracelet.
